Begin with a familiar anchor
An anchor game is simply the one whose rules you already know. It makes the start of a short break easy. For readers here, that may be Krillion’s daily dive. It could just as reasonably be Waffle or a geography puzzle.
Pick the game you look forward to opening, rather than the one with the longest streak. A missed day does not erase the enjoyment or knowledge from earlier sessions.
Add one different skill
Pair open-answer trivia with a different kind of reasoning. Try Worldle for visual geography, Waffle for letter placement, or Wikitrivia for relative chronology. Switching the task can make a small break feel more varied.
If you specifically want to work on recall, use a short Category Sprint session. If you want another rare-answer challenge, choose Seldom or Outrivia instead. The point is to choose deliberately, not to complete every game in the collection.
Use a stopping point
Decide on the endpoint before you start: one daily puzzle, one extra session, or a fixed break you have available. Unlimited play is convenient, but it can remove the natural finish provided by a daily game.
When a puzzle is no longer enjoyable, save it for later. There is no requirement to solve it in one sitting, and looking up a fact after the attempt can be as useful as getting the answer right.
Keep the shortlist easy to find
The heart button on a game card saves it in this browser. Open Saved games for your personal list. You can remove a game with the same button whenever your interests change.
These saved items do not synchronize between devices or include progress from the game publishers. For publisher accounts, archives and streaks, use each original game’s own controls.
