About Sortem
Sortem is a daily sorting game. It supplies a set of items and a rule for ordering them, with subjects such as places, food and other general-knowledge categories.
For players who like structured deduction with a daily topic change.
How it compares to Krillion
The candidates are supplied and must be compared. An item’s position matters, not how unusual it would be as a typed trivia answer.
Some challenges depend on a particular dataset or definition. Use the rule shown in the game rather than assuming a familiar ranking.
How the original Sortem works
- Read the sorting rule and its direction.
- Drag the items into your proposed order.
- Check the order and use the available feedback to refine it.
A useful place to start
Compare items in pairs when a complete ordering feels uncertain. A few strong pairwise comparisons can establish most of the sequence.
